The Second World War has come to an end, but rationing continues and life is miserable. Every night a group of Londoners gathers in the local bar and complains about the petty inconveniences they all face. Then one night a stranger enters with an unusual proposition.
J B Priestley’s 1947 short play was one of the earliest shown on British television. This 2016 production was directed by Martin Foreman.
